Frequently Asked Questions:

What do I need to do to START?

First, don’t stop drinking. Stopping could send you into withdrawal. See your doctor to be evaluated and get the support you need for a successful detox.

Can I still work?

Because of the medications being given, you will need to take time off of work.

Can my children stay with me?

At home, yes. You will need a family member or sitter to watch over their needs. In the hotel, they can visit. It is not recommended that they stay.

What do I do with my pet?

START Caregivers can make sure your house pets are fed and watered. Outdoor pets such as horses will require extra planning.

How long does it take to detox?

The average is 5 days. Most people detox in 4-5 days. Some will take a little longer.
